Matting agent for Polyester/TGIC powder coatings

Jietonda® SA206A is a physical Matting Agent based on modified polyethylene wax, which is designed specially for outdoor durable PES/TGIC powder coating to provide ranges from 30-70% (60°) of gloss and smooth matte finishes. It can also be used in other powder coatings endowing with appropriate semi-gloss.

1. Typical properties

Herein described to be typical properties and do not constitute specification limits.

2. Characteristics
　 ● Offering minimum 30-70% ( 60°) of gloss for PES/TGIC powder coating without significantly damaging to the weather-resistance, flow and mechanical properties.
　 ● Can also be used in other coating systems such as pure epoxy and epoxy-polyester hybrid to provide semi-gloss, smooth appearance and good non-yellowing properties.

3. Use method & levels
　 ● Premix SA206A with other components of the formula before extrusion.
　 ● It is non-recommended to use under the loading over 3% based on total weight of formulation because of poor free-flowing, wet blocking of powder or spray gun plugging problem etc.

4. Package & Storage
　 ● Packaging with PE lined Kraft paper bags. Net weight 25kg per bag.
　 ● Store in cool dry place to avoid caking. Keep away from heat and fire.
　 ● Based on our experience,the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years.

5. Advisement
　 ● Choose proper accelerator or catalyst to improve the impact resistance,but this will result in unexpected gloss up or worsen surface leveling.
